Construction Work Regulated:
Commercial work involving the construction or improvement of any commercial building with a cost of $50,000 or more requires licensing.
Sub contractors performing work of $50,000 or more under a licensed General Contractor also come under license requirements.
A subcontractor is not required to be licensed at the time a project is bid, but must be licensed before a project can commence.
Residential construction of buildings or structures which do not exceed three floors in height do not have more than four apartments and remodeling and repair projects over $10,000 require licensing.
A license must be obtained before undertaking any swimming pool construction or repair costing more than $5,000.
Electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors, administrators and or journeymen are also required to be licensed.
Pre-qualification is required for all state highway work.
